Onogawafudotaki Falls is a waterfall located in Urabandai, Kitashiobara Village, Fukushima Prefecture⛲
The area south of Mt. Bandai, where Lake Inawashiro is located, is called Omotebandai, while the area north of Mt. Bandai is called Urabandai🌳

As you can see in the photo, Onogawafudotaki Falls is beautiful with its pure white snow and spray⛄
It is located further in from Lake Onogawa, on the way to Grandeco Snow Resort🎿

If there is no snow, you can drive to the entrance of the trail🚘
From there it is about a 20 minute walk to the waterfall🏃
There is a steep climb along the way, but once you reach a flat road and cross the bridge at the end you will reach Onogawafudotaki Falls🤗
(※In winter, the parking lot in front of the trail is covered in snow, so you have to climb up from the road below💦)

Onogawafudotaki Falls has a drop of about 25m📐
The ❝Onogawa Spring❞, located upstream of the falls, has been selected as one of Japan's 100 famous waters✨

In winter, a rare phenomenon called blue ice can be seen around the falls❄
Onogawafudotaki Falls has a large amount of water, so the waterfall never freezes over even in winter😳
However, the water droplets freeze into glowing blue icicles, creating blocks of ice known as ❝blue ice❞📸
