Hello everyone.
I'm Teppi, a travel writer.

This time, I will once again introduce some spectacular scenic spots in Fukushima Prefecture

This is the 29th article📚
I would like to introduce you to the Mt. Bandai Observation Deck located in Urabandai😄

A spot where you can enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Hibara and Mt. Bandai !

Mt. Bandai Observation Deck is an observation deck located in Kitashiobara Village, Fukushima Prefecture📸
It is located on the shore of Lake Hibara

Among the many lakes and swamps in the Urabandai area, Lake Hibara is the largest in area😳

Mt. Bandai Observation Deck is located along Prefectural Route 64, which runs along the left bank of Lake Hibara🚘
There is a parking space next to the observation deck, so you can easily stop by on a drive🅿

The mountain you can see in the center of the photo is Mt. Bandai !
...However, the atmosphere of this mountain is somehow different from the Mt. Bandai that I have introduced so far🤔

That's right !
All of the Mt. Bandai that I have introduced so far can be seen from the opposite side, Lake Inawashiro.
Mt. Bandai is an interesting mountain because the impression it gives is completely different depending on whether you look at it from the front or the back👀

Mt. Bandai is also known as "Aizu Fuji" because it looks like the magnificent Mt. Fuji when viewed from the Inawashiro side🗻
However, when viewed from the Hibara Lake side, it is easy to see that a huge depression has formed in the center💡

In fact, this is the remains of a mountain collapse caused by a major eruption that occurred during the Meiji period😨
The many lakes and swamps in the Urabandai area were also formed as a result of this eruption🌋
