Hello everyone.
I'm Teppi, a travel writer.
This is the 6th article that introduces scenic spots.
I will introduce the Formerly Oshimachi Credit Association Store from Gyoda City, the same as Gyoda Hachiman Shrine, which I introduced previously😄
Historic building ! There is also a cafe inside the building !
This building has a very impressive green color.
This is the store of the Formerly Oshimachi Credit Association😊
It opened in 1922.
It was a financial institution that supported Gyoda's tabi(=Japanese split-toe socks) industry, which was the motif of the popular Japanese drama "Rikuo"💰
Originally located in the center of Gyoda City, it was relocated and is now located in Water Castle Park.
As you can see from the photo, the flowerbeds are gorgeous and perfect for a walk✨
In addition, the Formerly Oshimachi Credit Association Store can be seen not only from the outside, but also inside !
There is a cafe called "Vert café" inside, and you can take a break at a stylish cafe.😎☕
When I visited, it was very hot, so I used Vert café.
The picture shows "Jelly Fries" that are often eaten in Gyoda City.
It is a food made by frying okara(=soy pulp), and is eaten locally as a snack😋
By the way, although the name includes "jelly", this food has no "jelly" element at all😅💦💦
Nearby are Gyoda Hachiman Shrine and the ruins of Oshi Castle, which I introduced previously, so it would be a good idea to go sightseeing together with the Formerly Oshimachi Credit Association Store !
